Questions about pricing for an ipe fence

I’ve gotten two estimates for a fence project for my backyard–about 60′-70′ in total with two gates–for 14K and 17K. Do they seem to be in the right ballpark? Also, it seems like a pretty big spread between the two.

Recently redid my fences, opted for Cumaru, but also considered Ipe. based on your rough description, cost of lumber would be 4-6k depending on specs and where it’s sourced from. Other material and hardware (posts, screws, concrete, Penofin, etc…) would probably be another 1500-2000 depending on how fancy you want to be (better hardware, posts etc…). Labor does add up with ipe since everything needs to be pre-drilled and the 2 gates could represent significant additional work: we just have one small one and it was another full day of work to properly plan and put together . All in all these numbers don’t seem crazy to me. re: difference between the bids, i would poke around the details on the gates and the hardware used…
