Poll: what type of furniture do you have on back deck?

Hello all — I have an odd question which ultimately comes down to preference.

We have a deck that leads to our yard — I can’t decide how to furnish it, either:
– lounge deck furniture OR
– a patio dining table set

What do you have? Do you like it or would you change? Any brand you recommend for outdoor furniture that doesn’t break the bank AND withstands rain/winter temperatures?

Ideally we’d have both, a lounge area and dining area, but I don’t want to send the money on both this year. Plus, our yard doesn’t have any hardscape to set up a table or furniture in the yard part. I love entertaining, so I’m personally excited to have friends over for dinners and BBQs, therefore, want an outdoor dining table set. However, my husband wants to utilize this space for relaxing and lounging.

All opinions welcomed 🙂

We have those wrought iron,/aluminum dining sets since our deck has iron railings. It is maintenance free except that we spray painted one piece that over 20 years use, has faded. For a lounge chair teak is better as the iron chairs can get warm. If left in the sun.

The iron salvage place near Lowe’s has some interesting old pieces. If you are willing to clean them up.

I have a wrought iron patio dining set with 6 wrought iron chairs and are left out year round with minimal care!!! I also have a wrought iron sofa and with 2 larger wrought iron
chairs!!! Good luck!!!
