Plumber recommendation for Duravit wall mount toilet?

Hi, we have a great plumber, Willie Puig, for our occasional plumbing problems but he doesn’t know anything about wall mount toilets. One of ours — they are Duravit, with Geberit tanks — likes to run and I can’t figure out on my own how to fix it. Can anyone with wall mounts recommend someone who has experience with them? (Other than this, btw, the toilets have been flawless.) We’re in Bed Stuy. Thank you!

As a Plumber, I support Wall Hung Toilets and Augstiner’s take on them. Why?
They break twice as much as a simple gravity tank and bowl.
Handymen can’t work on them so the competition of services drops by at least a third
Because of the above, the cost is four times as much on Repairs, Replacements and Installations. …
In other words: Great for Great companies!

“Looks better” Subjective. “More hygienic” Where on earth did you get that from” More space efficient” Ok. Yes. “Uses less water per flush” Some times but not by default. “Outlasts all your HD bowls by decades” Not a chance. They require far more repair than standard American style toilets and they use costly proprietary parts that are *always* hard to find.

Thank you all for the suggestions! I will try out youtube for starters. I’m not very handy but will give it a go. I’ll go to a plumber if I have to afterward. Fwiw, besides the fact that our go-to plumber doesn’t know anything about them, I like the Duravit toilets a lot for the reasons above. Thanks again!

Haha, MasterPlumber is right, the toilet brush is now an essential component in our bathrooms with these toilets. But, for us, the design still makes it well worth it. More than aesthetics (which are, indeed, SO much better) it allowed me to configure roomy bathrooms in a small space that would have been impossible with a traditional tank toilet. Of course, check in when I have my first issues and need to open walls to resolve, but I’m still on the balance very happy with them. I also have made adjustments successfully using those bars to the flushing mechanism, if you haven’t tried that yet. Otherwise, yes, any plumber should be able to handle (but you may need a contractor based on the extent of your problem!). Good luck!

wall mounted is the worst.. i paid to strip my wall mounted for a normal one after I did a full gut reno. So i had to find the same wall and floor tiles to match the ones I just put in!

There is no need to remove Sheetrock. And wall hung Geberit systems have most plumbers scratch their head.
