Permit for swapping gas stove? Sink?

Do you technically need a LAA permit and plumber to swap out a gas stove? I’m not talking about moving it or the gas line. Just simply replacing an existing one in the same spot.
What about for replacing a toilet or sink in the same spot?
I thought you didn’t need a permit, but someone recently told me that technically you’re supposed to do a LAA, but for those types of things no one ever does.

AFAIK it’s completely legal for anyone to swap in a new toilet for an old one without a permit or a plumbing license. As long as you don’t move the location of the fixture. That requires a permit and a licensed plumber.

There is no way you need a permit to put in a new stove/range. You’re just turning off the valve, rolling the unit out and popping in a new one. Could not be simpler.

I do not believe a permit is required if you are not re-routing any services but merely replacing fixtures. However, if you are part of a coop you should double check with them.

with respect to what i wrote above, i just looked the LAA up and some of this sounds new. by what i read, i wonder if they do require a permit to change these things. let’s wait and see what others say and i might dig deeper later. in the old building code, a permit was not needed to change a sink or toilet. i am not sure about changing a shower pan or built in tub. stove, so long as we did not touch the fixed, hard piping, we were ok. and with all of this, we could not relocate.

a plumber once told me that so long as you are not touching anything before that flexible gas line, anyone can legally disconnect the stove and connect a new one. it is not considered plumbing and my take on that is if it is not considered plumbing, than it will not need a permit. the same on the plumbing fixtures. anyone can change a fixture (another plumbing who writes on here told me otherwise, but i found it in the codes) so long as you do not move the fixture. once you open walls and move pipes, you need a plumber and my guess is it must be filed. if someone comes on here and says otherwise, i will go through the codes and find the answer.
