Park Slope Bathroom Renovation Specialist

Hello. I am looking to do a bathroom renovation in Park Slope. I DO NOT want a GC who will simply sub this out. Instead, I want a hands-on person to handle the demo and construction. It’s a renovation so the plumbing and electrical are all in place requiring minor relocations for pipes and outlets (all along the same walls and floors). Nothing needs to be filed with the DOB. I’d like someone who has experience working in the Park Slope area and who is not going to moan and groan every day about the lack of parking. References will be checked. Any suggestions??

Neilw – I used block renovations. The job took 3 times as long as the estimate and there were days when no one showed up at the job site. I had another bathroom to use, so it could have been much worse. I was one of their early adapters and received a small discount (10% i believe). They made several mistakes throughout the project but addressed the issues quickly. They were clean and courteous.

Our owner, of course, saw flaws and pointed them out; from what I understand they are doing well but those same problems come up quite often and they are difficult to navigate.
That being said, I have heard great things from them on the jobs went well and when they do run into issues they handle them efficiently.

do not ever choose a contractor based on “they will give you a good price”. you will continue to have problems. try chris lombardi. 561-322-9060. Chris has worked for many of my customers as well has me, having done my bathroom. we have all been pleased. i can tell you one thing: after the demo is done, he will be on the job everyday doing most of the work with a helper. and his prices will be higher than the others but so will the quality and you will get no BS. the guy is a pro.

Sounds like you had issues with bad contractors in the past, a reputable GC will have the work done by his own crew and only sub out trades like electrical, plumbing, etc. so the work is done properly. Heck, it’s NYC, parking is bad everywhere!
