Original Fireplace Tiles For Sale

Due to a gut renovation of an 1890’s Harlem brownstone we’ve manually salvaged as many tiles as possible from 3 separate fireplaces. See https://photos.app.goo.gl/hHPj6E28xBcghFwy2 for photos showing the original fireplaces before demo.

Please note:
– The quantity and condition of the lots is impressive
– The tiles are used and salvaged, they are not in perfect condition
– We haven’t cleaned any the tiles and so some are sooty from being in the hearth area
– The sky blue tiles are stamped “Trent” on the back. We didn’t find a manufacturers name on the other batches of tile

Keep in mind:
– Not all the tiles were salvageable and so you will not be able to recreate the full look of the original fireplaces. (We’ve found using a slate base and the original tiles on the vertical surfaces to be very effective, see the attached Example with Green Tiles)
– It is unusual to find antique, fireplace tile lots of this size
– We’d prefer to see NYC homeowners make use of these gems to replace non-original tile work, however, we aren’t willing to negotiate on the price.
