One bedroom fire escape. Do you need 2?

I live in a building with I think about seven apartments the building was built and probably 1800s early 1900s there is no rounds to the plugs so you know it’s pretty old at that point but that’s my fear is that very old electrical never redone and I only got one way out and that is right out my front door which leads out to the back door but if that is completely on fire I am fucked I either have to jump out a third story window or die I might die jumping on the third story window especially at my age my daughter she might break the leg I’ll break a fucking hip and an arm and a leg and half my neck only 40 but my mental status is kind of left me weaker than I should be but my question is is it legal because I always thought you had to have two points of egress and a fire I mean mine is like literally like I said straight out of window or I’m looking up in the fire isn’t in the kitchen I can get out but most power starting the kitchen for one thing and the other thing is you know but it starts electrically and it starts up along that fucking wall I won’t be able to get o ut and I used to be a firefighter I know how hot it gets I know how choked up you can get when smoke starts rolling especially when I said thick heavy nasty shit of this building would give off I just don’t know what to do I kind of scares me because if there would be like a fucking wedge from the second I mean alleged from the third floor after at least we can get out there for the fire department can get us but they better fucking get here the goddamn ladder for a fucking fast because I really do not want to have to jump out of fucking window but I will if I have to kind of hoping enough people would actually fucking realize what’s going to happen and if I don’t jump I’ll die so latest for my massive body I don’t know what to call it massive bodies that tries to catch me but are going to end up getting smashed into two broken up a little bit but or they can all catch me and it be some kind of miracle catch and I wouldn’t be hurt at all but that’s a people around here came together but it’s not going to happen this is a bunch of crackheads and idiots I live around where I’m at right now I mean there’s some good people but not many

I couldn’t really follow the whole post, but I can say that a building with 3 or more apartments needs at least two means of egress per floor. In older buildings, one can be a fire escape. And in some cases, if there’s a sprinkler system throughout the building, then only one means of egress may be required. Hope this helps.
