New Brownstoner Format
Why is everything so BIG? When I look at the news section the headline fills half the screen. I can only see half a picture at a time. Is anyone else suffering with the LARGE TYPE edition of Brownstoner? Why cant they just show all the links to off site stories instead of making me click “more news this way”? I tried to give myself time to get used to the new format but it is really much worse – takes much more time to see what’s there and when you scroll down the same stories repeat themselves. On my laptop the forum section doesn’t even load. Anybody else missing the old Brownstoner? One more comment and then I will drop it. I appreciate that you engaged here. However, what you list above is really just half “the same content we always have.” Your list of regular features leaves out a lot of what brownstoner used to do that made this an interesting and engaging site. You still cover the bases but it is now a far less interesting and engaging site than it used to be. That is certainly your right and your choice to move in that direction, and i appreciate your continued success, but your comment seems to ask me to pretend you are publishing the same content as always when, as many of us have observed, it is not, not by a long shot. I hope, if you go back and sample a week or two from various time periods in the past, that you can see the difference and I hope, if it really is a choice to have brownstoner become less of a go to site for what is truly going day to day in Brooklyn RE, then you would at least own up to it and not ask us to pretend the watered down version is the same as the full strength version we remember.
