Need Paint Contractor/Painter Recommendations
I would like painter recommendations, especially for painters familiar with using Farrow and Ball paints. Thank you!

really, if you need a painter who will treat each and every step as though it is as important as the final step (each step is that important or the job will look like….) you have to source a wood finisher. wood finishers know they have to be careful and put time into every step and wood finishers sand trim between coats and dust things off. and wood finishers use brushes on trim. these guys we have in the city now, some of them will roll the trim if you allow them. even if you find someone who says he will do it the right way, you have to watch because as soon as you turn your back, they are taking short cuts and it shows on the job.

any true painter who knows anything about painting and can follow simple directions – be they written, spoken by the farrow and ball dealer or by the farrow and ball service line (i have relied on all three) should be able to use farrow and ball even if they have never used it before. it goes on the same way as ben moore latex except that for each color farrow has they will suggest a tinted primer and using that tinted primer is important to maintain the color of the finished product (unless you want to put 5 coats of paint on over a darker or lighter primer than specified).
the problem you are going to have is finding a genuine painter who understands that taking the time to prep is the hardest part of the job (and prepping includes priming). Most modern “painters” to not want to hear about prep work or primer and will do everything to avoid any of it.
most of the people on here have bad experiences with painters as there are no trained painters left in the city. cheap labor who refuse to stir the paint, refuse to sand, refuse tack things off, can’t or wo n’t read directions, will not allow things to properly dry before recoating, and will swear to you how great and cheap they are have all driven the real painters out of business. this is no lie.
good luck.
