Need help understanding HPD signage violations for MultiFamily Dwelling
HPD flagged a few signage violations (Carbon Monoxide, etc.). They indicate signs should be posted in “common lobby”. Due to the construction, a shared lobby doesn’t exist in fact there are two separate entrances (one for 1st floor and one for 2nd and 3rd floor).
I’m trying to understand the rules in order to comply but the HPD site is not clear. So a few questions, would appreciate any input:
1) If the house doesn’t have a hallway on the first floor and only has one for the 2nd/3rd, where do the signs go?
2) Does it have to be placed in both hallways?
3) What types of signs can be simply printed and “taped” to the wall vs. what needs a dedicated frame to be purchased?
Any help would be appreciated thank you!

This is some guidance but it’s a year old or so old [Required signs to post](//muut.com/u/brownstoner/s2/:brownstoner:vl1j:screenshot_20201012203659.jpg.jpg)

HPD inspectors are tasked with issuing violations. Assume they will issue you violations if there is any question. We were recently issued an erroneous bed bug violation for two different insects that “looked like bed bugs” but were both verified as not bed bugs by bed bug inspection vendor. I would include signs in both entrances because HPD inspectors do not err on the side of building owners. i believe HPDsigns.com is not exhaustive but is a helpful reference. The 6″ x 9″ HPD inspection card frame is required
