Names for plasterers/skim coaters

Hello! I posted about skimcoating, and now that I know it’s within our price range, can anyone recommend someone they’ve used? I only got one name in my previous post, and I’d love to get some more quotes. Thank you!

we would also recommend Bestwall Plastering, we had serious water damage to our plaster molding and walls. We found their prices were reasonable and very friendly. Go to their blog http://bestwallplastering.blogspot.com/ where there is lots of photos of work they have done.

Raul Agrippa from Agrippa Plasters and Jim Sheban for painting afterwards! Our front hallway ceiling, which was still original plaster, collapsed and we had some serious water damage to one of our interior walls that was also original plaster.

Raul came in and was a whirlwind of excellent efficiency and craftsmanship. His pricing was reasonable and the finished product is fabulous. I can’t say enough good things about him and his work if you’re looking for someone to do plaster work.

Jim was recommended by Raul to come in after he was done for painting and we were thrilled with him as well. He was incredibly fair in his pricing and worked through colors and textures with us. He’s actually a literal artist by background, so his input was really helpful. He went above and beyond, even throwing in a few extra paint repairs here and there because he didn’t want his work to look shoddy based on what was next to it!

Bo th of these guys are great and I highly recommend them.

F or what it’s worth, I also got a quote from Bestwall Plastering (the one mentioned in the first response above), and had a bad experience with them. Can’t speak to their work, though.
