Nails in walls with lead paint?

Hi all. I’ve recently moved into an old brownstone with my 1 year old. We had testing and tons of abatement done before we moved (replacing windows, wet scraping doors and frames, and encapsulating molding, etc). We also had the place repainted, though testing showed that there is lead paint on many of the walls (underneath several layers of non-peeling paint).

We will use adhesives to hang things on the walls as much as possible, but we do need to hang curtains and secure the tall furniture (wardrobes are necessary because old house = few/small closets). I’m wondering how dangerous it actually is to drill holes for this purpose if we wet the area and clean up carefully. My understanding is that it’s long term, repeated exposure that is most likely to harm our child. We are having him tested for lead every few months, and I can’t imagine making this house livable without putting any holes at all in the walls. Any advice is very much appreciated.
