Moving process

Hi guys! Can anyone here recommend a decent moving company? My family is going to the US soon, so we would really appreciate it a lot.

JP Urban is great for local moves. I’ve worked with them 3 times, most recently to move a large amount of boxes to a storage space in westchester county. I think they’d likely be able to handle picking up shipped items from a local port but they definitely do not handle international moves.

I am not sure if you are looking for an international moving company to get your goods here or a local company to assist you once you have your things here. I have no idea how it works if someone sends a container via ship, if a local mover runs to a terminal someplace and collects those things.

I had a very good experience with JP Urban Movers and found their employees and the owner to be highly professional. I do believe they are local movers but i suppose running to a terminal someplace in the metro area would not be out of their scope.

Btw, i did not use them as movers but still give them a lot of credit: one of their trucks hit my parked car, taking the mirror off. They stopped. By chance, i saw them looking at my car and taking pictures. When i approached them they explained what had happen and told me they had already called their boss. The owner of the company told me get it fixed and send him the bill. WEEKS later, i called him and told him it was done and he processed the payment while we were on the phone. All of the people involved with this company were a pleasure to deal with.
