Mold abatement/evaluation after roof leak

Our building had a leak after Henri/Ida that unfortunately we now discover has caused mold above at least one area of the top floor ceiling.

Has anyone worked with a mold abatement company that you endorse?

And we’d also like to find someone to advise us on if we should proactively look for damp/mold issues in other areas of the top floor, and if so, how best to go about that.

I just went through the same thing and had a really good experience with PuroClean. Know that once you reach 10 sq ft of mold it triggers more mold inspections etc… but any reputable mold remediation service can walk you through the process and coordinate.

I just used Oasis for a mold assessment. They were incredibly responsive and helpful – even suggesting I not do particular samples when they didn’t think it was necessary. ServPro did the abatement work in a really tight turnaround. The two companies work well together and made things easier in navigating my insurance.

When we had mold, the contractor removed everything inside and then waterproofed outside and treated the interior. A good waterproofing contractor or roofer should be able to help.
