LPC Turnaround?
Hi there. We need to get a LPC permit to repoint the rear of our building and I’m trying to ascertain the turnaround. We have a leak and are trying to get it done ASAP for that reason and also because our tenant is about to have a baby, and grinding out mortar seems like too much torture for a new mother. Since it’s not visible from the street, I imagine we could go without but we want to get the historic rebate so we need it. Thanks!

This is a repair item, it is handled at the staff level. They will help you by making sure you use the appropriate mortar for your bricks, and they may be able to recommend qualified masons.

Call them. It has been some years since i have bern through this but a “staff” approval seemed to take like a week. And putting something to committee was longer and if you will call they will give you the dates that the committee meets.
I have never done this for repointing but i am guessing it does not go to commmitte.
Their website or the manual you can download might tell you if repointing can be approved by staff.
