One thing you may want to consider is whether you really need it to be custom.

Many of the big cabinet companies do semi-custom cabinets of really great quality and far less than custom. They work with the room or space you have and design accordingly.

Check with your local kitchen cabinet place even if this project is not a kitchen. They can do a range of cabinetry.

I just put a whole kitchen in, semi-custom, at more than a third less than custom.
