Looking for architect for a small project in Brooklyn

Hi, we are living in Brooklyn, owner of a 3 family brownstone in bed-Stuy, we are looking for an architect to work on an extension on our garden floor in the backyard. We already have a small extension, right now it is just a small Laundry room. We would like to have a bigger room, as much as our footprint allow, redo the bathroom next to it and install a beam to have large patio glass door instead of small windows… We have contacted a few architects but they don’t take small project like this. Thanks

Agree with Randolph. I would budget 100k for the bathroom and doorway and 500/sq ft for extension, assuming not landmarked and nothing too fancy for finishes. The doorway will cost more than you think and you’ll need an engineer.

Find an architect and engineer who know brownstones and if landmarked know landmarked brownstones.

adding an extension is by no means a “small project”.
