Looking for advice on a shared driveway issue in Brooklyn.

I own a property with a driveway that runs along the side of the house to my garage in the back. The neighbor keeps parking a car right in the middle of the driveway, to the point where I can’t even walk through, let alone access or rent out my garage.

I tried speaking directly to the owner of the property, and they made it clear they are not moving the car. I also spoke to someone living there who said they would talk to the owners, but the answer is still no.

There’s no written easement in the deed, but the driveway has clearly been used for access.

Also important: I have a garage in the back, but they do NOT have any garage or parking in the back of their property at all, it’s just a wall/deck area. So the driveway is really only needed for access to my garage.

At this point:

I can’t use my garage
I can’t rent it out
I can’t even pass through my own space

Has anyone dealt with something like this in NYC?
Should I be looking at a real estate attorney, or are there other options I should try first?

Appreciate any advice.

If it was me I think I’d park blocking their car until they agree to be reasonable.
