Looking for a competent, reasonable Contractor.

I know this might be an oxymoron to most… but hope springs eternal!
About 2/3 of one floor of our Brownstone was damaged by water needs rehabbing.
New floors for sure… some ceiling replacement, HVAC install,
and while we are there… removal of a non-functioning fireplace mantle, and a small bathroom rebuild.
We respect our historical home. We want a craftsperson who understands. Our needs are somewhat simple, but we are not the kind of client that would be happy with backing a truck up to Home Depot or Lowes to get the job done.

Anyone out there had a good to excellent experience with their rehab ?

Hoping to find a good match!!

My guess is you’re not going to find anyone here during the summer. I would start looking online, asking people you know. Meet with people till you find someone who feels like a fit. HVAC is not going to be done by your GC anyway as they will sub it out to an HVAC co. I believe Urbandad mentioned a company on a different thread. Was it Cool Air? Flooring can also be done by a flooring company. I believe Carlos has been mentioned. Rather than trying to find a GC (might be challenging in summer) you might be better of subbing out some of this to keep it moving.
