Leveling a backyard
Sorry if this is a dumb question but how does one level a backyard without machinery?

Greetings. I suggest working with the elevations or slight change in grade of your yard instead of leveling it completely. That tree is very old with a large root system, so it will be the starting point. You could incorporate mounded flower beds or other features like stone paving, built-in seating, etc. to make a dynamic landscape. If you’re interested in a consultation reach out to me at jessica@rootandstalk.com
Also, unknown day labor comes with liability and you will likely need to supply tools.

Shovels, Rakes, and i personally use a 16 foot extension ladder as a screed. Also, day laborers if you don’t have a friend/family to help you out.
