Whoa is right with what she said about the old rubber insulation cracking. It happen to me one time and i have never touched this old wiring since.

Any licensed electrician should be able to install these fans. If you have crumbly old wiring or old ceiling boxes to replace you will have more peace of mind with a professional.

I always used to install these myself, but had my most recent one done by a good handyman. He did the job much faster than it would have taken me.
