Anyone recommend and Ironworks company? I need a new fence in front of my townhouse and new tree skirt. Thanks.

Just wanted to follow up- I called Joe from LOPOPOLO and I am extremely happy with the work. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Efficient and fair, one of the best subcontracting experiences on the entire project so far.

apprenticed as a youth with Puma Iron Works (a well known local iron-smith in former times).

@Bob Marvin- thanks for the suggestion. I certainly will purchase the tree guard from the tree trust since the money goes to a good cause. My tree is the only one on the block without it so I’m glad to get it. Thanks all for the suggestions! Seems like Lopopolo is the clear fav but some other good leads- very thankful.

Virgo Iron Works did a great job on installing my cellar hatch and I’m sure they’d be good for a fence. For a tree guard you might be better off getting one through a donation to the NYC Tree Trust, since street trees are on City property.
