Installing surveillance cameras for investment property.

Anyone have any recommendations for people that can install surveillance cameras? Can I view the cameras remotely without using my tenants internet connection (is that possible)?

My camera’s only record when they sense a movement. Not much help with the outdoor camera’s but its very east and fast to pinpoint a particular event from my phone. I used to allow the tenants have access to the footage (so they can track missing deliveries etc), but some ended up having the footage on display on their computers 24/7…which limited my access.

@Landlord, what about using a mobile internet based solution eg you can get a second sim for $25pm to your main accounts etc.

Most video recorders are only “sending” data when something happens so might fit in under your data limits.

My building is in Park Slope so my options were limited. I use spectrum and their most basic service runs me about $80 per month. You might have better provider options depending on where the property is located.
As I mentioned before, its a good investment that has paid off.

Moshe at 347-556-7444. although he did not do my investment property, he did do my house. The job was very clean (cleaner installation than my building). I would not use your tenants internet connection. I am paying monthly for the cheapest internet service provider i could find. installing security cameras at my building has helped me on many occasions and really glad i had it done (about 4 years ago). p.s. if you put camera’s outside the building the police might reach out for you asking for footage in regards to a crime in the area.
