How to solve this parking issue..

Hello, I recently purchased a semi detached house(R4-1) in brooklyn, it has a shared driveway about 8 feet wide, toward the end there are 2 garages, one for myself and one for neighbor, there is a wall in a middle to separate the garages. The problem is, the distance between the garage and rear of the house is too short (indicated by the blue arrow), any car bigger than a honda Fit will not be able to turn and drive into the garage.
I tried talk to my neighbor about shorten the garage, or even put down the garage, but he disagree. Any good idea on how to solve this problem? Currently we both park on the shared driveway which is a hassle. Can you remove your garage without disturbing your neighbors? If not, and you don’t want to switch to a small car, you might try backing down the driveway and into your garage. This will take some practice, if you’re not used to it.
