How to find out if a building has a LL, Sub basement, basement, etc.?

Is there a way to find out online? Would like to know if available, the sqft, layout possibly, etc. Thanks!

What about the square feet? I know EJR stated this would be on the C of O or the I-card but, if I don’t find it on other I’m assuming I need to make a trip to DOB to pull the file or measure it myself. Any additional thoughts?

Also, the I-Card, if you can find it, is an interesting piece of the house’s history that can be printed and framed for display. The I-Card for my house has very cool old cursive writing and a hand-drawn floorplan, parts of which date back to the 1930s!

In the event that a C of O does not exist for the property, which is often the case for building constructed prior to 1939, go to the HPD website and look for the i-Card.

The Certificate of Occupancy should include all of this information. Check the DOB website: http://a810-bisweb.nyc.gov/bisweb/bispi00.jsp
