Help - brownstone leaks throughout house

I know no one can diagnose sight unseen, but it’s Friday night and raining hard and can’t get in touch with a contractor yet. We live in a 2-fam four-story brownstone and just had the place gut renovated. During tonight’s downpour, two ceiling fixtures on our garden level started leaking water, and our top-floor tenants’ ceiling lights also sprung a couple of leaks (near the skylight, but not through the skylight). Any ideas who we should be calling or what could be happening? Should we contact leak specialists? Roof contractors? Plumbers? We have no idea how much this may end up being (and our GC did disappear, so no chasing probably can’t chase their warranty).

Roofer. There might be openings on the roof not sealed properly. The roofer can use some material to seal it. It should not cost much. I paid $70. Here video that might be related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wVP0BhA0Y4. Good luck

You need a roofer; although there could conceivably be a cause other than a leaking roof the fact that it’s leaking during a rain storm makes a strong prima facia case for the roof being the problem-even for the ground floor apartment since water travels.
