Getting help from a city representative

Our street is having some problems with construction on a city building nearby. We’ve tried working directly with the agency but it hasn’t worked too well. Curious if anyone has strategies for getting people like local representatives to help out in a situation like this. So far I donated a bit of money to the representative but haven’t figured out how to engage. Any ideas?

Walk into your council person’s office and talk to their chief of staff.

Find out who else in the area is unhappy about this and put a list of names together. Also, find out which of all of you can be the most difficult to deal with and have that person go to the council person’s offce with you.
