Gas stove ventilation problem
The previous next door neighbors did renovations which included venting gas stove through basement level rear room. A large oval shaped hole remained open until the recent sale when a piece of plastic Grid was used to cover. The ventilation hole is right on the property line to my house. Previous owners never used the vent system. New owners use it all the time and the smells are going through my whole house perhaps due to my house having an extension which seems to cause the fumes to blow right to the part of back of my house as the extension only extends part of the length of the back in otherwords leaving a L shaped section open. So the smells blow out of their house and right over to mine. Shouldn’t there be some regulations as how close a vent is allowed to be to my windows? Many thanks for any advice.
