Front step landing- zoning

I know front steps are a permitted obstruction. Is there any limit to the top landing size?
not looking to do anything crazy, we have a 10′ front yard req’d and the bldg is at that line.
would like a 5-6′ deep landing at top of stair, will be 6′ wide. Thanks (and don’t say ask an architect!)
