Floor Standing/Mounted Ductless (concealed) AC Units
Does anybody here have any experience with floor mounting their ductless AC units? We are planning a gut reno and due to LPC and costs we can’t put in a central system. Of course I can’t stand the look of wall mounted units but have seen floor mounted options that can be concelealed in custom cabinets but can’t find much press about them. I’m talking about something like this:
https://samsunghvac.com/products/floor_standing.html
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Good to know. We have a combo of regular cassettes and in-ceiling units and they were called the same during our talks with the hvac guys. I’ve seen the units in our ceiling and they operate very similarly to our visible cassettes (but without the plastic cover, obviously.)

That’s something else. It’s a ducted split and it does look like central.

the hidden cassettes are in the ceiling. Ours look exactly like central. You cannot see a cassette, only an in-ceiling grill.

Ceiling cassettes are huge. I think they are between 30 or 36” square. It doesn’t look like central at all

You can do in-ceiling hidden ductless cassettes. You do lose a bit of ceiling height, but they look the same as central.
