Fiberglass Patio Doors
Looking for any recommendations for fiberglass patio doors. Previous owners of my brownstone installed wood french doors that are already starting to rot.

Hi,
All wood doors need maintenance and refinishing every few years depending on exposure.
As most people don’t maintain things the finish wears off and the wood can rot.
Today Alluminum Clad is a popular option as its a low maintenance options.
FIberglass clad wood/ or Vinyl clad are less expensive options. Also low maintenance.
All these options allow low maintenance – warm wood interior with a protective exterior (Alluminum/fiberglss/vinyl)

There certainly are fiberglass patio doors. The labels are often misapplied. But wooden doors that are recent and rotting may signal a different problem. Can’t offer any recommendations, sorry, but Andersen and Marvin generally make good sliding doors.

Do you not mean aluminum or vinyl? I have never heard of fiberglass patio doors. All the usual window manufactures make aluminum &/or vinyl sliding doors.
Aluminum clad wooden ones would work also, without exterior rot.
