Fallen branch from Parks Dept tree

This past Monday when the big storms / wind rolled through, a huge branch from our neighbor’s tree came crashing down in the street (a Parks Dept tree, not a private garden tree). I saw on my camera that a pedestrian saw it and dragged it over to the sidewalk area in front of the neighbor. It’s been sitting there ever since, getting moved by passing dogs and now some other pedestrian has dragged it on “my side” of the sidewalk. I just don’t want any trouble with sanitation, now that this huge thing is sitting in front of my house. I assumed our neighbor had put in with 311, but just in case, I just put in a “fallen branch” ticket on 311 and it says the Parks Dept. will review thin 8 days. Have I done all I can? Could sanitation give me any grief?

this happens all the time over here in 11379 with these big london plane trees and some of these branches are big. they end up lying all over the place. i have never heard of anyone getting a ticket for something like this. so long as it is apparent that you did not pull that out from your back yard and put it there, i do not think you will have a problem.
