Experience with Virgo Iron Works on Grand Avenue?

Does anyone have any experience using Virgo Iron Works (on Grand Ave. in Brooklyn)? Considering using them for a project and would like to hear from others who have worked with them. Thanks in advance.

My experience w/ Lopopolo is similar to katdov’s. I got them once really quickly for a small job during a lull but then got a brush-off for similar work when they were busy on big things.

I’ve had a very positive experience with Joe Lopopolo and am very happy with the product. He fabricated 2 staircases – a spiral and a straight. His price was better than some other quotes I received. He is very busy, however, so sometimes has no time to talk.

I find Joe to be extremely rude and had a similar experience. He has an attitude problem and I got the same impression. Like he is doing you a favor.

I know it wasn’t your original question but we’ve used lolpopollo Iron Works before and been happy with them (they built the custom tree guard out the front of 135 Henry St Brooklyn).
