Existing Violations

I bought the property from HUD with Violations (ECB and DOB) at 2006. I cleared the violations somewhere around 2006 but didn’t have the proof to fill the AEU20. These are all not my violations but I cleared it. Can someone help me to guide me to fill and get the Certification of correction from DOB?

DOB has reduced a lot of walk-in service and violation correction procedure is moving online more and more. If the violations were issued to another respondent (prior owner) you also have to submit a deed demonstrating your ownership in order to get the violations corrected. Supporting pictures of corrected conditions are great if possible. To fill out the AEU20 you need to specifically describe the work that was done to correct the violation (not just “fixed the leak” but “replaced cracking coupling with new coupling”… or likewise). If you hired an outside contractor to do the corrective work you will need them to complete the AEU20. Also – if there are any fines asscoiated with the violations, these need to be paid and receipts submitted with the correction papers.

Take supporting pictures, paid bills, etc. to DOB & talk to someone there.
