anyone have experience dealing with this ‘eruv’ I didnt not give permission to have this built next to my property line.

I don’t think we should hold “coolguy’s” double negative against him–likely a typo, or a grammatical error, which does beg the question as to whether he needed to be asked, or to grant permission.

@bob, thank you for sharing your beliefs with us. i feel the same way you do and is nice to have someone with a little more life experience than some of us on here to make sure we don’t go too far out of line with our own beliefs.

i am imagining this to be a simple line around the yard, but if there is some other element to it – do things hand on it? does it have chimes on it? perhaps the op can tell us so and we can better understand. otherwise it is less offensive than the plantings that some of us have along our property lines that our neighbors don’t want to clean up after but tolerate for the sake of living in a civil society.

If it isn’t actually on your property I can’t imagine what you could do about it. It’s just a harmless length of wire, or monofilament. I write this as someone who’s been a non-believer all his adult life who has no love for religious paraphernalia of any kind, but who realizes that this stuff is important to some people.
