Electric fireplace insert

After spending a ton of money to open fireplaces and then not being able to use it due to poor drafting; I think I want to put in an electric fireplace insert that will generate heat. Idk if it’s possible with current firebox or if more work will be needed. Has anyone done this and who does this type of work? Picture attached. Thanks. We’ve been considering this electric set from Amazon, although I’m not to enthusiastic about it:

Thanks. I would consider gas but I would think it would be a big deal to run a gas line to this fireplace.

I once had a gas insert that looked like an old charcoal heater installed in an old fireplace like yours. They had to drop a b-vent, I believe down the chimney from the roof. When we sold the house, it was fun to show potential buyers how easy it was to turn on and off with the remote control. An electric fireplace insert would be my last choice, but it would be easy because they don’t need venting.
