DOB Filing: Expeditor or Architect?

We are almost ready to file our plans with DOB (Alt 2 interior Reno). We had planned to have our architect do the filing to keep things simple, but they have been slower than we hoped and we are about a month behind when we wanted to file. Should we use our architect or work with an expeditor? Our architect doesn’t seem to care which way we go. Any thoughts or experiences you can share would be much appreciated!

In my experience ‘slower than I hoped’ is a description that fits any and all aspects concerning a home renovation. It’s closely followed by ‘more expensive than I thought’.

In your post it is unclear if the arch hasn’t finished the plans (in that case the expenditer can’t help you much) or if they are the artist type who is not experienced enough to deal with code issues.
