Dividing a Tax Lot so as to get into Class 2 Classification.

I have a corner tax lot with two buildings. The corner building is a 4 Family over store. The building on the side street is an 8 family. Both buildings have relatively new C of Os as stand alone buildings. Has anybody divided a tax lot so as to limit the annual RE Tax increase. Is there somebody that you could recommend. Will the Department of Finance reassess the buildings ?
