Crown molding size recommendations for 10' ceilings?

I’d like to add crown molding in the parlor room with 10′ ceilings in a townhouse built around 1900. All the original crown moldings had been removed before we bought the house. What face size would you recommend keeping in mind that I’m hoping for something historically appropriate? Thanks in advance!

Good Morning, sorry not been on line much, this is the original crown molding so we are doing new for the entire hallway and few section to match existing in living room. The crown as you see is 8 1/2”x8 1/2” the face would be like 11 1/2” ,

ddsr. dykes will sell you samples. adriatic will give you the same samples for free. same profiles as dykes. sometimes adriatic’s stock is a little heavier and you need to know that if you plan to switch between the two, up close, say on a panel or something.
