Contractor to adjust the fit of a pocket door?
Not sure if this is best for general discussion, renovation, or doors and windows:
I have an original pocket door on my upstairs bathroom. The interior face of the door rubs against the frame. I’ve looked up into the hanging mechanism and don’t see a way to adjust it.
Can anyone recommend someone who does this work?
The interior (bathroom side) of the door and trim have many coats of paint. The exterior (hallway side) of the door and trim have the original varnish finish.
It seems like the exterior trim needs to be dismantled to get the door out and make adjustments. That is beyond what I want to take on, but I want to make sure the person doing it will be good.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply. I’ll post a pic when I get home later.

so first, a picture speaks a thousand words.
some of these have stop molding applied to the frame in such as way as to hide excessive gap. if you have that stop molding applied to the frame, you can remove it and shift it away from the door a little and reapply it. if the opening in the frame has no stop molding around it, you can cut the frame back (with the door in place) with a plunge saw and you can clean your edge up with sand paper or apply stop molding to it if you really feel your cutting job is not up to par.
someone is going to reply to this that this is a pocket door and there fore does not have stop molding. no, it is added around the openings of these all the time as a reveal.
if you post a pic, i can better explain. most of the time the hardware does not have to be dealt with-
