Considerations, costs, and rec's for staging (and photographing) a house ...

If anyone has any insight into the home staging process, I would very much appreciate hearing them. A few things I’m wondering:
-Are more folks going with virtual staging now? And if so, does that work quite well/effectively, too?
-Cost of real staging (for the whole process; I’m not looking to manage it myself) and virtual staging?
-Do brokers ever manage this, or just staging companies?
-How important is it for a high-end rental (vs. a sales listing)?
