ConEd demands 100 to 200A electrical upgrade, then ghosts me for 6 months.
Hi, All. As part of an electrical inspection for a gut renovation, ConEd said they needed to upgrade our connection to the grid from 100 to 200A. This required installing a new conduit for the wires and an enclosure for a new meter. We installed those. After that, ConEd has been responding with noncommittal “we are waiting for approval | design | something else” and no time estimates. This would be fine if it weren’t keeping me from completing an installation of solar panels which would need to be connected to this new wiring.
Is anyone else in the same boat? Any tips for getting ConEd to move or at least offer a time estimate?

Nothing new here.. When I upgraded from 30 to 100 Amps back in the ’70s ConEd took many months to complete hooking up the new service. I second the recommendation for involving the PSC.
