Concrete in front of our house is chafing and chipping
The concrete (not on sidewalk, only within gate of property) has been chafing and chipping since the last snow about three weeks ago. The damage is all on the surface, but it is quite unsightly, and I was wondering whether anybody has an idea of what to do about it. I am afraid it is happening where we put some salt after the snow.

Probably not a good idea to try to do anything until the spring.

Just DON’T assume that a mason who’s great at restoring facades is equally good at this type of work–we learned the hard way. Best took for someone who’s done side walks or areawaysfor your neighbors.

It is couple of years old. Would you have a recommendation for a concrete guy who could fix it?

Was the concrete in your area way new? You shouldn’t use salt for the first year or so.
