Clogged toilet on first floor, gurgling sound coming from the depth of the pipes
In our two family-house, the downstairs toilet is clogged. I tried a 6 foot auger and several plunger, to no avail. The drains for shower, sink and kitchen are working fine on the same floor. Mysteriuosly though, a gurgling sound comes form the depth of the washer hook-up (no washer installed) when any water runs in the house, upstairs and downstairs. When I plunge the toilet, water jumps out from the shower drain. The drain trajectory from back of house to front is backyard drain, toilet, sink, shower, kitchen, washer hook-up. There is a basement under the apartment. Does anybody have an idea what could cause the problem.?

Yes, I had the main sewer line cleaned and it works fine now. Thank you!

you might need to clean out your main sewer line. (scooter rooter or some other company) When mine is getting clogged (every two years or so) the gurgle from the sink is the tell tale sign.
