chimney lining for boiler flue

I need to have my boiler flue chimney lined. Has anyone had experience with this? Who did you use, and approximately what is the cost? This flue is about 40 feet. Thanks for any information.

I second A&A; we hired them to replace boiler flue from cellar to 4th floor (about 75 feet in total) – big job, but they were reliable and communicative – what more can you ask for? 😉 Paid roughly $5K which was in line with all other estimates we got – and he did have to open many, many walls and move a large original built in mirror. We used A&A just for a recent chimney cleaning. I found them reliable, honest and prompt. Can’t vouch for the bigger jobs, so hopefully someone will chime in, but I would certainly use them again.

We used A&A Chimney who advertises on this site, contact name is Andre. We had our chimney relined from cellar to rooftop as part of a conversion to a gas boiler for a steam heat system. The cost will depend on the diameter of the sleeve which is determined by boiler size/system type (and I presume other factors that I am certainly not qualified to speak of with total certainty) plus “unkowns” like clearance/blockage within the chimney itself. Ours was done in 2013, no blockage and minimal openings of walls inside the home and cost about $3-4K, I believe. A&A has been recommended on this site by others, I was happy with Andre, he came when he said, cleaned up after the work and we have had no issues.
