Certificate of Occupancy says legal 4 but only 3 gas meters

What would be the process/cost of getting another meter? Not considering the fact National Grid says no new NYC gas customers..

Do you have the meter bars for 4 or 5? or only 3?
If you have the meter bars once you have had all the piping pressure tested; because that account has been shut off for so long, you should be able to get it turned back on again, at some time in the near future. Ask your trusted licensed plumber how much it will cost.
As a four family, if you have common gas heat & hot water, it is best to put that on a separate meter.
If it turns out you need to re-plumb the pipes to give an apartment a meter just for cooking gas, it is probably best just to include the gas for one stove in the rent.
