Caesarstone installation -- Foro Tile experience?

Hi, I’ve been having a hard time evaluating bids for a new caesarstone countertop for our kitchen — bids vary widely and it’s very difficult to get a sense online for vendor quality/reputation. The two lowest bids I received are from Swan Tile in Flushing, which turns out to have a not great reputation at least online, and Foro Tile, which seems better. Can anybody with first hand experience with Foro speak to the quality of their work?

We worked with Foro on our recent renovation and they were absolutely wonderful.

They provided a 10ft marble island counter, a couple more kitchen pieces, plus a marble bathroom vanity top, two granite fireplace hearths, and a marble shower niche.

Couldn’t recommend more highly: lovely, communicative, fair price, on time, beautiful work. Really great family business.

Foro used to be our go to stone people. We did a lot of work with them, and they were excellent. Their customer service was beyond expectations. However, we recently used them for a job and it went terribly. It was during some transition where they were opening up another branch or something, and the communications between the people in the field and the people in the shop seemed to not be worked out. They came and templated a relatively simple kitchen, and when they came to install, the counters didn’t fit. Long story short, they tried again and still couldn’t get it right. They refused to try a third time, so they took the counters back and refunded the money.

We haven’t used them since, but I’d be willing to try them again in the hopes that they’ve worked out the issues, and in consideration that they could have been much worse about it and not refunded the money.

I do think they’re very good people and that they tried their best at the time.

We have no experience with Swan.
