Building to Land ratio for rental tax depreciation purposes
I am trying to determine the above ratio to determine my depreciable basis. I’ve read that this can be found on the counties Property value notice. NYC does not break out building to land ratios.
I need to determine this for both my Manhattan condo and my Brooklyn multifamily. I am not using an accountant so any insight would be helpful in tracking this ratio down.

Not sure if this is what you need, but PropertyShark gives FAR, FAR as built, zoning, lot size, and interior square footage for every building in NYC, drawing partly on data from the NYC tax department. (Occasionally the building square footage appears to be off if, for example, the tax department didn’t include a legally habitable basement or hidden story, etc.)

I’m also trying to figure this out, for an owner occupied 2 family in Brooklyn. My brother (an accountant in another state) suggested 80/20 as a rule of thumb.
