Brownstone garden cleanup recommendation?

We need someone to clean up a brownstone garden attached to a rental unit that has been neglected for a few years — major pruning and cleanup. And then, periodic maintenance once things are back under control. We’re not looking for fancy landscaping, just keeping the existing plants from taking over and things looking neat.

Hi. I have a large backyard garden which I started from absolute scratch 12 years ago and maintain on my own. I am not a landscaping business, but I have picked up a lot of ridiculous wealth of knowledge along the way including how and when to cut/prune things, preparing plants for the colder season, what plants will grow well given the soil and light situation, feeding, non-chemical insect control (when necessary), and I am a meticulous weeder. I take a lot of pride in our yard, and would treat yours like my own. If you’re still looking for someone I’d be happy to come by and take a look.

Is there any way to hire any local youth and you direct them?

My son has been doing some things for neighbors including gardening. The experience has been very good for him.

To motivate american youth, you might have to pay a little more than some people expect to pay others, such as undocumented alians: my son gets 25 an hour.

Looking at the bigger picture, i think that engaging our youth this way could be a win-win for all of us – not just the parties involved but society at large.
