Brick Pointing Estimates and Recommendations

Hi,
We are looking to have the paint removed and the brick re-pointed on our home. I’ve got a few quotes but they are all over the place. Does anyone have someone they would recommend and know what to look for in hiring someone for this kind of work? It’s pretty basic not having them do anything but work on the brick.

You need a stone mason for this work. Working with old bricks, particularly when they have been covered by layers of paint is more difficult than it seems and requires someone who really knows what they are doing. Otherwise your entire facade can be ruined. I used Progressive Contracting (https://www.yelp.com/biz/progressive-contracting-brooklyn-4), but there are other highly recommended ones on this forum as well.
